The 2015 Nissan 370Z NISMO was unveiled today and promises to be one of the best factory tuners the company has put out to-date. It's certainly the most-requested NISMO vehicle so far, with thousands of Z fans asking when Nissan would create the 370Z NISMO over the past two or three years.
Here are the fast facts for the new two-passenger, rear-wheel driven sports car.
Vehicle dimensions: 170.5 inches in length, 72.6 inches in width, 51.8 inches in height. Wheelbase is 100.4 inches, ground clearance is 4.7 inches (minimum). Interior headroom is 38.2 inches, legroom is 42.9 inches, shoulder room is 54.4 inches, and hip room is 54.6 inches.
Engine: 3.7-liter dual overhead cam (DOHC), 24-valve V6 with Variable Valve Event and Lift (VVEL) and a bore of 95.5mm and stroke of 86mm. This produces 350 horsepower and 276 lb-ft of torque in an 11:1 compression ratio. Maximum RPM is 7,500.
Transmission: 6-speed manual close-ratio with SynchroRev Match going through a 3.916 final drive ratio. Automatic transmission is a 7-speed with Downshift Rev Matching (DRM), Adaptive Shift Control and manual shift mode with paddle shifting going tthrough a 3.692 final drive ratio.
Exhaust: NISMO-tuned dual with H-pipe configuration.
Suspension: Independent double-wishbone. Stabilizer bar at front, multi-link independent stabilizer at rear. NISMO-tuned shock absorbers front and rear along with NISMO-branded front strut tower brace. With vibration dampers.
Steering: Rack-and-pinion with vehicle-speed variable-assist.
Brakes: Nissan red-caliper Sport Brakes. 14x1.3-inch vented discs and four-position opposed calipers in front. 13.8x.08-inch vented discs with opposed two-piston calipers at rear. High-rigidity brake hoses and R35 Special II fluid.
Wheels and Tires: 19-inch NISMO super-lightweight forged aluminum-alloy wheels made by RAYS measured at 19x9.5-inches at front and 19x10.5-inches at rear. Tires are Bridgestone Potenza S001 Y-rated performance tires. 245/40R19 on the front, 285/35R19 rear.
Exterior points: New NISMO aerodynamic body design with unique front and rear fascias for the 370Z, along with side sills and a low-profile rear spoiler. An aluminum hood is also included along with four exterior color options: Solid Red, Magnetic Black, Brilliant Silver, and Pearl White (shown above) all with NISMO badging and striping. Lighting is automatic on/off, bi-functional xenon in the headlamps and LED Daytime Running Lights.
Interior Points: Leather-appointed Recaro seating with Alcantara accents, red seat trim and stitching with NISMO logos embossed and stitched. Steering wheel is Alcantara-appointed and tachometer is signature NISMO red. Aluminum-trimmed pedals, serialized plaque of authenticity, and Bose audio also standard. Other technologies available, including Rearview Monitor and Nissan Navigation.
The 2015 Nissan 370Z NISMO will be available in July in both the standard NISMO package and a special NISMO Tech package for technology enthusiasts. Pricing has yet to be announced.
