The Liquid Mini Ferrari smartphones, signed and in limited edition

Bummed out that you can't afford a new Ferrari? Much less one signed by the Ferrari Racing Team's stars Alansso and Massa? Fret not! Now you can get a signed, limited edition smartphone emblazoned in Ferrari red with the classic logo and engraved with signatures from the two racing stars. You'll have to hurry, though, as this series of 70 phones won't last long.

Announced today on the Ferrari Facebook page, the phones are available only from the Ferrari store at $479, shipping and customs not included. At least, they're available until sold out.

The phones are Acer Liquid Mini smartphones running Android Gingerbread 2.3 with all the expected hardware and software inclusions. They feature a case in the famous Ferrari red, engraved with the yellow and black Ferrari logo at center and with the signatures of Alonsso and Massa engraved above and below. On the bottom of the case is the limited edition numbering showing the phone's number in the sequence of 70.

Also built-into this limited edition Ferrari Liquid Mini phone is an app that updates the owner with the latest in Scuderia updates from various news feeds so the true fan can keep totally updated on the team's progress (or lack thereof, given results of late).

Fans are already screaming for a phone case to go with other phones, such as the iPhone or Droid, be made available. No word on whether Ferrari will follow through on that, but for a handful of die hard fans, this extremely limited edition run of Liquid Mini phones may satiate the appetite for all things bright red.
