KBB Says Subaru Scores 4 New Models That Are The Lowest Cost To Own

Are Subaru vehicles expensive to own? According to Kelly Blue Books 2022 5-Year Cost to Own Awards, Subaru has four new models that score best in class.

Consumers looking for the lowest cost-to-own new SUVs with superior fuel efficiency should put the Subaru all-wheel-drive models on their shopping list. Kelley Blue Book’s 2022 5-Year Cost to Own cars, trucks, and SUVs says the 2022 Subaru Forester, 2022 Outback, and 2022 Ascent score among the eleven best new SUVs. The next-generation 2022 Subaru BRZ now scores best in the sports car category.

What does it mean for SUV shoppers?

KBB adds up all costs associated with a vehicle for five years to come up with the winners. Costs such as fuel, maintenance, repairs, financing, insurance, and one of the most significant factors of all, depreciation, are all factors that affect a vehicle’s total ownership costs.
