At Tesla's recently held Q2 2022 earnings call, the EV maker has revealed that it is working on a second-generation Giga Casting. And according to Tesla, the next generation Giga Casting will be used to build the Cybertruck.

At Tesla's recently held second quarter earnings call, Elon Musk has given us more details regarding the refreshed Model Y's structural battery pack. Musk says the pack is not yet optimized and that it is a "C" in an "A" architecture.

In the interview, Musk said "both Rivian and Lucid will go bankrupt" that their path "will end in an intersection with doom" and that "they will end up in the cemetery" unless they change course.

Tesla started refreshed 4680 Model Y deliveries at the Giga Texas opening event. However, initial deliveries were limited to Tesla employees. Later, Tesla widened the pool of individuals that could get the new vehicle to Austin, then the entire state of Texas. Now, Tesla has begun inviting Model Y reservation holders outside Texas to get the refreshed version of the all-electric crossover.

In the past 6 months, bitcoin is down 67% with 16% of the fall coming in the past 48 hours. And as the cryptocurrency has gone lower, Tesla is down 32% in its bitcoin holdings. This coupled with production disruption in Giga Shanghai is making it increasingly likely Tesla will post a quarterly loss in Q2.

A new Tesla Giga Berlin drone flyover suggests, that Tesla has begun taking deliveries of robots that will be used to produce 4680 battery packs. The new battery pack will power the refreshed Model Y with 4680 cells and a structural battery pack.
