Military families love the 2021 Subaru Forester and 2021 Outback, according to a report released by the United Services Automobile Association. See why they rank high.
Because military families are on the move so often, trucks and SUVs make up a large number of their favorite vehicles. According to data from USAA, the 2021 Subaru Forester compact SUV and 2021 Subaru Outback midsize SUV are two of their favorite cars for 2021.
USAA’s top 10 vehicles for the military community are based on internal data compiled from its service members, veterans, or family members. The data is based on military families who added a vehicle to their insurance policy between January 1 to December 31, 2020.

3. Chevy Silverado
4. Toyota Tacoma
5. Jeep Wrangler

Consumer Reports ranked small SUVs and says the Subaru Forester is the number one model for its total cargo volume and its usable cargo-carrying ability. Read the Torque News report here. Does Subaru offer a military discount?
Subaru does offer a military discount program and provides a special discount to active-duty and reserve members of the U.S. Air Force, Army, Navy, Marines, Coast Guard, Space Force, National Guard, and veterans and retirees within 12 months of the date of separation.
Subaru says the program is also available to a spouse or domestic partner of an eligible participant residing in the same household. In addition, Subaru of America gives military members a discount of $500 after they negotiate the best price for their vehicle.
