New spy shots of Giga Texas show Tesla preparing to film a new promotional video where the Cybertruck is pitted against a blue Ford F-150 Lighting and two green Porsche 911s.
Elon Musk has said that the Cybertruck is the best vehicle Tesla has produced in the company’s history. Currently, there are a lot of details we don’t yet know about the truck however, all available information suggests that the Cybertruck will be the most durable truck in the world that can outperform supercars.
To test the Cybertruck’s durability, Tesla has put the all-electric truck through some of the most bizarre durability tests. A few weeks ago Tesla took a stock Cybertruck on a 1280-mile off-roading trip across the Baja peninsula in Mexico.
A stock factory vehicle being able to complete the challenging terrain without any issues was incredible enough however, a couple of weeks back, Elon Musk upped the ante and revealed to the world that Tesla had emptied the entire drum magazine of a Tommy gun on the Cybertruck and that none of the bullets breached the passenger compartment.
This was bizarre enough, however, in his latest appearance on the JRE podcast, Elon Musk bet Joe Rogan $1 that he would not be able to pierce the Cybertruck’s exoskeleton with his hunting bow and arrow. From a close range, Joe shot an arrow straight to the side of the Cybertruck which resulted in sparks flying all over and the arrowhead shattering into pieces.

Given the demonstrations we’ve seen so far, it’s fair to say the Cybertruck is safe from a durability standpoint. However, new spy shots of Tesla’s Texas factory show that Tesla is also filming a promotional video that shows the Cybertruck can hold its own in the performance front.
The admittedly grainy pictures of the Giga Texas parking lot show Tesla readying 3 vehicles for a Cybertruck comparison video. As you can see from the picture below, these are two green Porsche 911s and a blue Ford F-150 Lightning which is the all-electric version of the vehicle.
When Tesla first unveiled the Cybertruck back in 2019, the EV maker showed the vehicle going against a Ford F-150 and a Porsche 911. The competition against the F-150 pitted a Cybertruck prototype driving uphill while at the same time pulling an F-150 which trying to drive in the opposite direction.
The second demonstration pitted the Porsche 911 against a Cybertruck in a drag race where the latter was able to finish the quarter mile ahead of the sports car.
At the time, these demonstrations were met with several complaints, especially the first one where Tesla was accused of pitting the Cybertruck against a rear-wheel drive F-150 which gave the Cbyertruck an unfair advantage.
However, the new spy shots reveal that not only is Tesla pitting the Cybertruck against the F-150 but that the EV maker is doing so with the all-electric version of the F-150. This should quiet naysayers who will undoubtedly be looking to poke holes at Tesla’s claims.
Musk, during his latest appearance on the Joe Rogan podcast, has said that during the Cybertruck delivery event, the EV maker will show off 3 demonstration videos. The first is where Tesla unloads a Tommy gun, a 9mm handgun, and a shotgun to the side of the Cybertruck.
Tesla or Musk has yet to share the content of the remaining 2 videos however, the recent Giga Texas spy shots suggest they’ll be a tug-of-war video against a Ford F-150 Lightning and a quarter-mile race against a Porsche 911.
Currently, we do not know the outcome of these tests however, we’ll be sure to keep you posted when Tesla shares more information about the Cybertruck. Until then, make sure to visit our site torquenews.com/Tesla regularly for the latest updates.
So what do you think? Excited to see a Cybertruck pitted against a Ford F-150 Lightning and Porsche 911? Do you think the Cybertruck will come on top during both tests? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below.

A Porsche 911 is built to…
A Porsche 911 is built to handle corners, and be driven long distances.
You can take it on a race track on a Sunday, and drive it across the state the next day. Going 800 miles at 80mph with a single 10 minute gas stop.
The cyber truck might beat it in a straight quarter mile,
But the Porsche would DEMOLISH it on a race track, and could do it all day long.
(And look good doing it)

That isn’t a lightning they are pulling against. Standard XLT based on the wheels and front clip.
"Outperforms supercars"…
"Outperforms supercars"... Lets put in on a track instead of a straight road, and see if it still outperforms a 911. Outperforms means more than 0-60 Tesla... and at least porsche understands how to let trained people design their cars instead of their toddler.

The video of the pull off with the f150 is 3 years old already. This hardly qualifies as news.
