The Texas Automotive Writers Association held its annual Auto Roundup and the 2022 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid is driving off with multiple awards.
2022 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid Minivan is still the first and only plug-in hybrid in the segment and the Texas Automotive Writers Association is paying attention. TAWA recently held its annual Auto Roundup where it evaluates vehicles, awarding the PHEV several honors. TAWA has named the 2022 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid the Green Vehicle of Texas, as well as the Family Vehicle of Texas. The Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid offers an all-electric range of more than 30 miles, more than 80 miles per gallon equivalent (MPGe) and a total range of more than 500 miles. The Pacifica also takes home the title of TAWA Auto Roundup Best Minivan.
“Congratulations to Chrysler brand for earning multiple honors at the 2022 TAWA Auto Roundup,” said Teia Collier, president of TAWA. “Competition was fierce in the minivan segment, with Chrysler Pacifica maintaining its win streak as overall Family Vehicle of Texas, as well collecting awards in a variety of categories, including Best Minivan.”
"We are proud to celebrate an amazing sixth consecutive award as Family Vehicle of Texas for the Chrysler Pacifica, as well as honors for the Pacifica Hybrid as the Green Vehicle of Texas," said Chris Feuell, Chrysler brand CEO - Stellantis. "The Texas Automotive Writers Association is one of the most respected automotive press organizations, which makes the group's recognition of the Pacifica at the recent TAWA Auto Roundup especially significant."
2022 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid
Chrysler Pacifica, the most awarded minivan over the last six years, has earned more than 170 honors and industry accolades. The Texas Auto Writers also praised the minivan’s luxurious interior design and premium features. One of the most impressive features, I think, is the FamCAM interior camera that gives a bird's-eye view of rear-facing child-seat occupants, so parents can easily check on their children or pets in the back. The 2022 also has a new standard rear seat reminder, that recognizes when rear doors are opened and closed prior to ignition start, and alerts driver with a chime and cluster message after the trip ends to check the rear seats. The Pacifica also has the class-exclusive Stow ‘n Go seating that folds into the floor for added cargo space.
The Pacifica also has a rating of TOP SAFETY PICK+ from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) for the 2022 Chrysler minivan. That means that the IIHS says the Pacifica is one of the safest vehicles you can buy.
Federal and State Tax Credits May be Available
The Pacifica Hybrid also qualifies for an eligible $7,500 federal tax credit, as well as any available state and local tax credits.
