The latest “Most American Vehicles” list has been issued by Cars.com and not surprisingly, the Ford F150 is the most American of the vehicles sold in the USA while the Chevrolet Camaro and Dodge Viper join the bestselling truck on a list of ten that includes seven vehicles from Japanese automakers.

Ford Motor Company has issued a recall for a select group of 2014 F150 pickups over a concern that there could be a manufacturing problem with the Electronic Power Assist Steering system – a problem that is severe enough that the company has instructed owners to avoid driving their trucks until the problem is fixed.

I got the pleasure of putting a few hundred miles on the 2014 Toyota Tundra at the launch earlier this year and while I was impressed by the new model during normal daily driving – the true measure of a proper full size pickup is the ability to do the harder jobs and in this review, I put the new Toyota pickup through the paces of a proper work truck.

Ford introduced the F150 with the high tech EcoBoost V6 engine for the 2011 model year with quite a bit of skepticism, but those naysayers have been proven to be very, very wrong as the Motor Company has sold more than a half million F150 pickups powered by the EcoBoost V6 in just over three years – accounting for 45% of all Ford light duty truck sales during that period.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has officially closed their investigation into the Ford F150 pickups powered by the popular EcoBoost V6 after deciding that there is no need to recall those 360,000 trucks due to a power loss issue - with no further action required by the automaker and that means no recall of their most popular pickup.
