Along with showing its BRZ Prologue-Boxer Sports Car Architecture II, the technology concept of an all-new, rear-wheel-drive sports car, developed with Toyota, it is presenting the SUBARU XV, a small, sporty crossover production car. The XV was shown at the Shanghai Motor show earlier in the year and a sketch was released also in August. Subaru’s press conference, September 13th at 9:30 am, will be attended by Subaru’s new President, Yasuyuki Yoshinaga.

The Subaru XV was developed under the concept “Urban Adventure” featuring sporty, casual design. Subaru sees the XV entering the competitive C-segment with proportions that are meant to convey qualities of stylishness and lightness combined with the confidence of a crossover vehicle.

The vehicle will be powered by a new generation Subaru 2.0 liter, 4-cylinder horizontally–opposed Boxer engine with Lineatronic (CVT). It is designed to have Subaru’s All-Wheel Drive and advanced Dynamic Chassis Control Concept. The technology allows superior drive performance, fuel efficiency and safety, attributes that are captured in Subaru’s new brand statement, “Confidence in Motion.”
