The 2025 Infiniti QX60 Autograph is a capable luxury SUV with a strong focus on comfort and practicality. However, its performance and technology may not be as impressive as some rivals. But it has its own advantages over the rivals.

The 2025 Infiniti QX60 Autograph, though it may not command the same prestige as European luxury SUVs, offers a compelling blend of style, comfort, and value. I personally test-drove it last week for Torque News for seven days. Built on the sturdy foundation of the Nissan Pathfinder, the 2025 QX60 distinguishes itself with a flowing, curvaceous exterior design that's distinctly Infiniti.

Under the hood, a turbocharged four-cylinder engine provides adequate power, while the option of all-wheel drive enhances traction and stability. While the base models may lack some of the luxury features found in higher trims, the top-tier Autograph variant pampers occupants with quilted leather, massaging seats, and a host of advanced technologies.

While the QX60's driving dynamics may not be the best in its class, it excels in providing a serene and comfortable ride. Its quiet cabin and relaxed demeanor make it a suitable choice for those prioritizing comfort over outright performance.

Ultimately, the QX60's greatest strength lies in its value proposition. It offers a compelling alternative to more expensive European rivals, providing a luxurious experience without the exorbitant price tag.

Here is where the 2025 Infiniti QX60 ranks in pricing compared to its top competitors.

1. Genesis GV80: $59,550

2. Porsche Cayenne: $86,695

3. BMW X5: $66,875

4. Volvo XC90: $58,695

5. Porsche Cayenne Coupe: $91,795

6. Infiniti QX60: $52,245

The 2025 Infiniti QX60 is available in five trims: Pure, Luxe, Luxe with Black Edition Package, Sensory, and Autograph. The price of the 2025 Infiniti QX60 starts at $52,245 and goes up to $67,500 depending on the trim and options.

What's changed in 2025 Infiniti QX60 and what's new?

The 2025 Infiniti QX60 introduces a significant change under the hood. It now features a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, replacing the previous V6. While this new engine offers a respectable 268 horsepower, it's paired with a traditional nine-speed automatic transmission, setting it apart from its smaller sibling, the QX50.

For those seeking a sportier look, the Black Edition package is available on the Luxe trim. This package adds a touch of darkness with black 20-inch wheels, black roof rails, a black grille surround, and black exterior emblems. Inside, unique door sill protectors and a black headliner elevate the cabin's ambiance. The exterior color palette for the Black Edition is limited to Mineral Black, Majestic White, and Harbor Gray.

Let's further elaborate on the engine, power, and transmission of the 2025 QX60 Infiniti SUV.

As I stated above the 2025 Infiniti QX60 is powered by a 268-horsepower, turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission. While this combination offers adequate power for most driving scenarios, it may not be as responsive as the previous V6 engine. The nine-speed automatic transmission, while smooth, can sometimes be hesitant to downshift when quick acceleration is needed, such as during passing maneuvers or merging onto highways.

Additionally, some reviewers have noted that the QX60's ride quality can be a bit stiff, especially when equipped with the optional 20-inch wheels. This can be surprising for a vehicle that is otherwise designed for comfort and luxury. In my driving experience, it was OK. So no complaints about the ride quality.

The 2025 Infiniti QX60 offers respectable fuel economy for a midsize luxury SUV. With the new turbocharged four-cylinder engine, the EPA estimates fuel economy figures of 22 mpg city and 28 mpg highway for front-wheel-drive models, and 22 mpg city and 27 mpg highway for all-wheel-drive models. These figures represent a slight improvement over the previous V6-powered model. While these EPA estimates provide a good starting point, real-world fuel economy can vary depending on driving conditions and habits. For the most accurate fuel economy information, it's recommended to consult the EPA's website or conduct your own testing.

The Exterior Design

The 2025 Infiniti QX60 offers a striking exterior design that blends elegance with a touch of sportiness. Its flowing lines, bold curves, and signature grille make a strong visual statement. Key exterior elements to look for include:

  • Double-Arch Grille: This iconic Infiniti design element adds a touch of sophistication and aggression to the front end.
  • Sleek LED Headlights: The sleek LED headlights not only enhance visibility but also contribute to the vehicle's modern aesthetic.
  • Bold Wheel Options: The QX60 offers a variety of wheel options, ranging from standard 18-inch to optional 20-inch wheels, allowing you to customize the look of your vehicle.
  • Panoramic Moonroof: This standard feature floods the cabin with natural light, creating an airy and spacious atmosphere.
  • Motion-Activated Liftgate: This convenient feature allows you to open the rear liftgate with a simple foot gesture, making loading and unloading easier.

Reviewers have generally praised the QX60's exterior design, highlighting its unique styling and attention to detail. However, some have noted that the overall design may not be as bold or distinctive as some of its competitors. In my opinion, the exterior looks elegantly striking.

The Interior

The 2025 Infiniti QX60 provides a luxurious and spacious interior, accommodating up to seven passengers in its standard three-row configuration. The top-tier Autograph model opts for second-row captain's chairs, reducing capacity to six but offering enhanced comfort and exclusivity. The cabin is meticulously crafted with high-quality materials and effective sound insulation, ensuring a serene and refined environment.

The front seats are generously proportioned and offer a wide range of power adjustments, including heating and ventilation. The availability of a massage function adds an extra layer of luxury. The climate control system is equally impressive, with dual-zone automatic climate control standard and a three-zone system available on higher trims, complete with an air purifier.

The QX60's infotainment system is centered around a 12.3-inch touchscreen display that supports both Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay. A secondary 12.3-inch digital gauge display and a 10.8-inch head-up display are optional, further enhancing the driving experience. Wi-Fi connectivity is standard, and a premium 17-speaker Bose audio system is available for audiophiles.

The second and third rows offer ample space for passengers, with comfortable seating and sufficient legroom. While the third row is best suited for children or shorter adults, it provides a convenient option for occasional use.

Cargo space is adequate for everyday needs, and the rear seats can be folded flat to accommodate larger items.

The Ride and Verdict

The 2025 Infiniti QX60 marks a significant shift in the brand’s strategy, moving away from the robust V6 engine to a turbocharged four-cylinder. While this transition aligns with industry trends towards fuel efficiency and emissions reduction, it raises concerns about the vehicle’s performance and driving experience. However, keep in mind the improved fuel economy of this SUV, which I mentioned above.

Rationally, the move to a smaller engine is understandable. However, the practical implications often lead to a less engaging and refined driving experience. The turbocharged four-cylinder, while capable, may struggle to deliver the same level of power and torque as its predecessor, especially when the QX60 is fully loaded. This could result in slower acceleration and less responsive throttle response. Yet, it was a capable engine in my seven days of test-driving the vehicle.

The QX60's handling, on the other hand, remains relatively competent. Infiniti has a history of building well-balanced SUVs with a comfortable ride and decent handling characteristics. However, the added weight of the larger vehicle, coupled with the potential limitations of the new engine, could impact its agility and responsiveness.

Also, the 2025 Infiniti QX60 offers several advantages over its main competitors. Its luxurious interior, with high-quality materials and advanced features, sets it apart from rivals like the Acura MDX and Buick Enclave.

The QX60's comfortable ride and quiet cabin also contribute to a premium driving experience. Additionally, the QX60's distinctive exterior styling and available advanced safety features make it a compelling choice in the competitive midsize luxury SUV segment.
