Only the weekend stands between us and the opening of the 2011 Detroit Auto Show, and with companies preparing to show off their best and brightest for the new year, Chrysler has offered up a single rendering of the new 2011 Chrysler 200 Super S by Mopar.

The Detroit Auto Show is all about showing off the new models headed to showrooms around the world but we can always expect some whacky concepts that aren’t likely to see production and the Chrysler 200 Super S by Mopar is probably one of those vehicles. Unlike other automakers who are using all of their space to feature new products, the Chrysler Group will use part of their display to show off the wares of their in-house aftermarket provider. Mopar is best known by racing world as the division of the Chrysler Group that provides all of the go-fast goodies for vintage Dodge, Chrysler and Plymouth models (ie, Mopar Muscle) but Mopar also features performance and dress-up accessories for most new Dodge, Jeep, Chrysler, Ram and even Fiat models.

Yesterday, we brought you the news of the Mopar Ram Runner package being offered to consumers starting in March and today, we bring you a first look at the 2011 Chrysler 200 Super S by Mopar. The Super S by Mopar takes the refreshed mid-sized sedan and converts it into that would nestle easily into the modern “tuner” scene. Mopar has added a two-tone paint scheme, a handful of body modifications like the rear valance, rear spoiler, a front chin spoiler, mirror caps and a custom grille treatment and most noticeably, a set of Mopar-branded 19” wheels.

The press release from Chrysler previewing the 2011 200 Super S by Mopar is fairly vague and there are some items like the “vented hood” that don’t seem to appear in the drawing above but with the opening of the 2011 Detroit Auto Show just 3 days away, you can be sure to see plenty of images of this and the rest of the Mopar display next week.
