General Motors will introduce the 2015 Cadillac Escalade on October 7th and to prepare us all for the debut of the next generation in American opulence, the company has offered up the very minimal teaser images above and the minimally informational video below.
The 2015 Cadillac Escalade will likely be very similar in its basic design to the recently introduced 2015 GMC Yukon Denali but we can expect that the Escalade will take the luxury level of the Denali to a whole new level. The Escalade has previously been the ultimate expression of big, opulent American luxury and I fully expect that the next generation Cadillac sport utility vehicle will be more impressive than anything that we have seen in the past.
In an effort to keep us all on the edge of our seats as we eagerly await the debut of the 2015 Cadillac Escalade, General Motors has offered up the teaser images shown here and the video shown below. The images - as you can clearly see - gives us our first look at the new Escalade badging along with the high tech LED headlight of the new super luxury SUV. It is hard to tell whether this Escalade badge is one that will be found on the outside of the vehicle (like on the fender) or if this will appear inside of the vehicle on the dash or door panel. As for the headlight, it is pretty much exactly what we would expect from a new Cadillac with a high tech, high end LED design set in lots of chrome with the same elongated lens design that is found on pretty much every model in the current Cadillac lineup.
The 2015 Cadillac Escalade teaser video, on the other hand, provides far less insight into the next generation super SUV. In fact, the video really doesn’t relate to the new Escalade at all – instead focusing on photographer Autumn de Wilde as she discusses how she falls in love with her subjects. General Motors will use de Wilde’s love of her subject to capture the 2015 Escalade for the October 7th debut with a series of images and videos highlighting the design process of the new Caddy SUV. This will allow the company to hype up the next Escalade as being a work of art while also serving to appeal to the hoity-toity luxury car crowd that might be more familiar with Autumn de Wilde.
In any case, the 2015 Cadillac Escalade will make its grand debut on October 7th 2013 in New York City. We would expect that it will resemble the new GMC Yukon Denali but with more chrome cladding on an exterior layout the is more plush and luxurious than the GMC version. We would also expect that the new Escalade with feature the powerful new 6.2L V8 engine packing somewhere in the area of 420 horsepower and 450lb-ft of torque with modern fuel saving technology helping to make the new Escalade more efficient than the current models while still being more luxurious and more powerful.
