When the announcement was made to discontinue the SRT brand, it was reported by some that the 2015 Chrysler 300C would not get an SRT variant like the 2015 Dodge Charger and Dodge Challenger, but a new report from Allpar suggests that the highest performance Chrysler sedan will live on into the 2015 model year – just without the Hellcat Hemi.
When the 2014 Chrysler Group Five Year Plan was made public last month, the biggest news was that the SRT brand was being discontinued and those SRT models would go back to the same brands as their non-SRT variants. Really, outside of bringing an end to the SRT name as a brand of its own, the only real difference is that the SRT Viper would go back to being the Dodge Viper in the very near future. We also learned that the SRT Charger and Challenger would get the new supercharged Hellcat Hemi and the reports around that time indicated that while the popular Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT would continue into the new model year – the SRT version of the luxurious Chrysler 300C would be killed off.
Well, according to a new report from the Chrysler Group enthusiasts at Allpar, insider information indicates that there will be a 2015 Chrysler 300C SRT – but it won’t pack the same 6.2L Hellcat Hemi that will motivate the 2015 Charger SRT and 2015 Challenger SRT. According to the source, the 2015 Chrysler 300C SRT will get some subtle changes to the front and rear fascia, but the engine won’t be changing. The 2015 SRT 300 will be powered by the same 6.4L Hemi that is offered in the current (2014) SRT models, but I would expect that the 2015 Chrysler 300C SRT will get the increase in horsepower and torque like the other SRT V8 models. The 2015 Challenger SRT392 will offer 485hp and 475lb-ft of torque rather than the 470 and 470 offered by the current models and it would be nothing short of amazing if the Chrysler Group didn’t give the high performance 300 that extra shot of power for the new model year.
The Future of Non-Dodge SRT Models
Allpar has also reiterated that the Grand Cherokee SRT will continue into the 2015 model year with the 6.4L Hemi. Both the 300 SRT and the Jeep SRT will benefit from the added power and the added fuel economy through the impressive high performance 8-speed automatic transmission.
The Chrysler Group has made it clear that they want to remove competition across the brands so it would make (some) sense for the end of the SRT brand to indicate the end of the Chrysler 300C SRT. After all, the 300 is little more than a Dodge Charger with a different body and more luxury goodies inside and in SRT form, the interiors features are nearly identical. Because of that, the redesigned 2015 Charger combined with no mention of the Hellcat Hemi coming to the Chrysler lineup lead many to believe that there would be no SRT 300. It seems that in the near future, the Chrysler 300 will continue to feature a high performance SRT model with the “old” 392 cubic inch Hemi so those prospective buyers who prefer the more luxurious lines of the big Chrysler sedan can still pick that model over the sportier and more aggressive Dodge Charger – they just won’t get to enjoy the 600+ horsepower of the Hellcat Hemi.
Depending on how the sales of the Dodge Charger SRT and non-SRT Chrysler 300 go over the next few years, the SRT variant of the 300 may or may not resurface with the introduction of the next generation large luxury sedan. With the Chrysler Group working to define the Dodge brand as the performance lineup of the company, I wouldn’t be surprised to see 2015 be the final year of the high performance Chrysler 300.

Disappointment to say the
Disappointment to say the least. I have been holding out and waiting for the 2015 300 SRT. It's a shame if you ask me what might become of the 300. I love my 300 but I can't wait no longer and I have to have that Hellcat. I guess it's so long Chrysler and Hello Dodge. I'll pass on the 300 and settle for the Challanger just to get the Hellcat. Although the wife might have something to say about that. If only they would make the Charger with the Hellcat.
They are offering the Hellcat
They are offering the Hellcat in the Charger, look for an announcement late this month or next month
Amen! I had broke my piggy
Amen! I had broke my piggy bank and ready to spend whatever it took to get a Hellcat 300. I am truly disappointed.

"After all, the 300 is little more than a Dodge Charger with a different body and more luxury goodies inside"
Not quite. The 300 SRT has different suspension tuning, making it a fraction slower around a track which will matter to 0.2% of owners, and much better for long distance or above the frost belt drives. The 300 is also less of a ticket magnet, imho.
I'm from the UK and have an
I'm from the UK and have an old model 300C SRT8 6.1. I love it, run on LPG (which is half the cost of petrol here). It has been a massive disappointment that Chrysler have not yet brought the current 6.4 300 SRT to the UK. I still hope they have a change of heart for 2015 if it has the 8 speed auto it will suit our market better. Regarding the possible future demise of the Chrysler SRT is the Dodge Charger really an equivalent vehicle to the 300? It is a 4 door, but is it as large inside or as luxurious? Will it have adaptive suspension etc? If the answer is no, then surely there is a sensible argument for keeping on the 300 SRT as well even without the hellcat option - although that really would be a dream come true.
Does Chrysler not understand
Does Chrysler not understand its branding and the current point of difference it has with the 300C high performance option (SRT in other words)?
A four door luxo barge with aggressive styling, high performance engine/chassis setup, and a genuine V8 without the eye-watering technology and price tags of its European counterparts (or Cadillac for that matter).
I am on my third SRT (Jeep and Chrysler) after switching from Alfa, Jaguar, Chevrolet (Holden) and Porsche 10 years back and the only comparable vehicle I have driven in that time is the turbo V8 powered Bentley. I am disappointed to hear of the possible demise of the Chrysler muscle car and really pissed the Hellcat engine wont be an option.
Very disappointed that the
Very disappointed that the Chrysler will not be getting the hellcat. Chrysler should let you order the Chrysler with the hellcat engine. I hope you guys change your mine, because I would make the switch immediately.
If they drop the 300SRT line
If they drop the 300SRT line/logo What do you think will happen longterm [value wise] to my 100% loaded 2013 300 srt8 ???
This is indeed disappointing,
This is indeed disappointing, I love my 300 SRT8. Like many have already said the appeal of a big luxurious boat on wheels, combined with a 6.2L supercharged Hemi pumping out 707hp. I think I just came..
Man highly dissapointed I
Man highly dissapointed I needed a truck and bought a ram after trading my 2012 srt 300 in which made me cry cause I loved that car and all it's beauty, that and I had the wife talked into letting me get another srt 300 if they made a hellcat version
finally a north american
finally a north american vehicle that can take on the world but it has to come in a 300srt in order to get any respect from the m5 and amg people. my order will go in as soon as the 707 300srt becomes available.
A Hellcat 300! I wont get a
A Hellcat 300! I wont get a"Hellcat " unless its a 300! Please, please do the hell cat in the 300.
I loved my 2008 Chrysler
I loved my 2008 Chrysler 300SRT8 which had about 549HP. Had to give it up due to the economy but if they would make a 2015 Chrysler SRT hellcat, I would work 2 jobs if i had too just to get one! Miss that car :( Only thing I don't like about the new chrysler is the headlights LED should circle the entire headlight
Hopefully someone at Chrysler
Hopefully someone at Chrysler sees this. A 2015 300 with the Hellcat would sell very well!
Presently have 2006 SRT8.
Presently have 2006 SRT8. Lookin at purchasing another. Hellcat option would go a long way in my deciding on the purchase. I would suspect the the overal luxury quality would not be implemented into the Dodge lineup.
"After all, the 300 is little
"After all, the 300 is little more than a Dodge Charger with a different body and more luxury goodies inside" I may be wrong here, but didn't the 300 come out before the Charger? If so your statement is backwards. The Charger is little more than a stripped down 300...
I am so disappointed. I held
I am so disappointed. I held out two years for the 2015 300 SRT HellCat. No Hellcat not even a SRT8 version. Chrysler really screwed up big time. The good news is I will be getting the 2015 Z06 Corvette since I cant have the most powerful family car in the world. Boooo Chrysler.
Hi there I'm about to buy a
Hi there I'm about to buy a 2015 300srt vapour could some one tell me if the engine block is the same as the old 392 , what cubic inch is the 6.4litre ?
I have a 2009 Chrysler 300
I have a 2009 Chrysler 300 CRD. Great car. Will buy a 2015 300 SRT8 RHD. Where are pics of this model? Plenty of 300, 300c & 300s models. Haven't seen the SRT8, yet.
The only country in the world
The only country in the world that the 2015 model SRT8 300C will be offered in is Australia. Not even a North American LH drive version will be available apparently. The Aussie one is of course RH drive but there are significant challenges to importing one to UK.

I have the 2015 core SRT, IT
I have the 2015 core SRT, IT IS TOTALLY AWESOME, I have read news that the hellcat will have a 4 door version, if Chrysler won't give us what we want or need to compete wit the GM has to offer, with sports upgrades, then it would appear to be a great business venture for a private company to move in and JUST DO IT. After all parts can be shipped, from the USA, you want the extra ponies, open the check book. Today I saw what GM has to offer, walkinshaw option as well, Sounds private to me, brake upgrades as well.
The SRT 300 is available in the USA, it's the CORE only here in Australia, made just for us here. It is a drivers car, who needs all the extra stuff, you all you need for drag racing straight out of the box. A few bolt ons and hellcat specs.
It truly is a unique car,
GM GTS and club sport are everywhere.
So what if a bunch of us OZZIE OWNED got some blower units imported here, forget the 600 bhp, let's go the USA version and take 800 BHP PLUSS
