Among what is likely to be more than a few 2015 Dodge Challenger show cars at the upcoming SEMA Show in Las Vegas will be the customized Mopar muscle car shown above, which features unique body work, a striking paint job, more than a few performance modifications and – best of all – the name Rapture.
While the 2015 Ford Mustang is almost certainly going to be named the Hottest Car for the 2014 SEMA Show, I expect that there will be plenty of 2015 Dodge Challengers modified to draw attention at the gigantic auto industry convention. This is only the second 2015 Challenger I have seen or heard about heading to SEMA - following the Challenger T/A Concept from Mopar that we talked about last week – but this artwork leads me to believe that the Rapture Challenger will be one muscle car that gets a whole lot of attention in Sin City.
The Rapture Dodge Challenger 392 Scat Pack
The details on the 2015 Dodge Challenger 392 Scat Pack named Rapture are limited, but this drawing provides plenty of input as to what to expect when this custom Mopar muscle car debuts in the flesh. As the name would lead you to believe, this is a Scat Pack Challenger, so it has performance brakes, performance suspension, the 485 horsepower, 392 cubic inch Hemi V8 and the awesome Shaker hood setup.

On the outside, the Rapture Challenger sports a Shaker hood with a set of heat vents flanking the hole in the hood through which the engine-mounted Shaker hood scoop extends. An aggressive lower front fascia includes what look to be vents under the headlights, a restyled lower fascia opening, large Hella fog lights and an absolutely massive front splitter. Along the side, a set of custom wheels painted to match the car will be wrapped in high performance rubber and while we cannot see them, I would expect a huge brake setup behind those thin spoke wheels. The side of the Rapture Challenger also appears to wear more prominent side sills with side exit exhaust. We cannot see the back of this Challenger, but it looks as though there is a large rear spoiler and I would expect to see some custom body work out back – possibly some sort of aggressive diffuser.
No other details are available on the 2015 Dodge Challenger Rapture, but based on the list of companies recognized in the image above, we can make some guesses as to what else might make this car special.
Airlift Performance is mentioned, so I expect an aftermarket suspension setup while Magnaflow likely provided the exhaust system and Kooks Heads provided exhaust headers for the 6.4L Hemi engine. They also mention Barton Industries and the Petty Garage – both of which could have made some serious changes to make far more power than the 485 that comes stock in the 392 Scat Pack. I also see that Szott Dodge (the dealership where I bought my truck) is mentioned, so I am guessing that they provided the car on which this project was built. There are a ton of other companies mentioned, but we will have to wait until the debut to find out all of the vital details on this beast.
The Rapture Dodge Challenger will debut next week in the Amsoil booth at the 2014 SEMA Show. Click here for a closer look at the Dodge Challenger T/A Concept that will also debut at SEMA.
