Specialty Vehicle Engineering has cooked up a set of Yenko/SC performance packages for the 2019 Chevrolet Camaro SS 1LE and their Stage 2 kit is a showstopper – packing 1,000 horsepower and a base price in the range of $112,000.
While it has been decades since Don Yenko’s Chevrolet dealership (closed in the 1980s) in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania rolled out one of the legendary dealer-modified Camaros, Specialty Vehicle Engineering (SVE) in New Jersey has spent the past few years bringing the Yenko name back to life. SVE has offered a variety of big power packages for the modern Chevrolet Camaro, and with the arrival of the refreshed 2019 Camaro, the company has introduced two high performance Yenko/SC packages specifically for the newest SS 1LE. Each of these packages employee a supercharger to vastly increase the engine output, but the Stage 2 package is our focus today – elevating the LT1 to a whopping 1,000 horsepower.
SVE Yenko/SC Stage 2
As has been the case with the SVE Yenko packages in the past, the 2019 Camaro SS 1LE Stage 2 package bores and strokes the 6.2-liter LT1 out to 6.8 liters. The engine is also equipped with a forged bottom end, ported LT1 cylinder heads, stainless steel long-tube headers, a full stainless steel exhaust system, a high volume fuel system and a “high output custom” supercharger. The result of that built engine is 1,000 horsepower.
The package also adds a unique hood, rear spoiler, wheels and all sorts of badges and stripes. You can also get a variety of unique color combinations and the engine built comes with a 3-year, 36,000-mile warranty.
SVE will only build 25 examples of the 2019 Camaro SS 1LE Stage 2 Yenko/SC and it won’t come cheap. The package price for Stage 2 is $66,995 and that is on top of the price of the car itself. Since this build requires the 2019 Camaro SS with the 1LE upgrades, the base price of the car is $44,995, meaning that the full build-out will cost at least $112,000.
The good news is that if you can't stomach that price tag and you can "settle" for 835 horsepower, SVE has a lesser Yenko/SC Stage 1 package, but I don't imagine that it will be much less expensive. However, if you want a big power 2019 Camaro with nod to vintage muscle car performance, the SVE Yenko packages check every box.

For that kind of money, I would be hitting the car auctions for a generation 1 Camaro and keep a little change in the pocket!

I'm sure that the 1000HP is a headline stealer, but I think that much power on street tires will just burn up and melt the tires, rather than making the car actually any quicker than a regular Camaro SS with a bolt on supercharger (for $6K). It's great for boasting though.
