The 2020 Dodge Charger features two subtle interior changes and two prominent interior changes, all of which will only help attract more buyers to the bestselling big sedan in the United States.
We have talked a great deal about the exterior of the 2020 Dodge Charger over the past few months, with the widebody version of the Scat Pack and Hellcat introduced back in June, followed by the introduction of the uniquely-dressed Daytona 50th Anniversary Edition Hellcat that we first met at the Woodward Dream Cruise. We have also looked at the wheel changes for the rest of the 2020 Charger lineup, but we really haven’t talked much about the interior.
While the cabin isn’t seeing an elaborate overall, Dodge has made a few changes to the interior of the 2020 Dodge Charger lineup, but none of them are model-wide and only the smallest change is standard.
2020 Dodge Charger Interior Badging
The smallest change to the 2020 Dodge Charger lineup applies to the Scat Pack and Hellcat models and it comes in the form of new interior badging. The Scat Pack Charger now gets a unique badge near the passenger’s side dash vent with the 392 logo and the angry little Scat Pack bee while the Hellcat Charger gets a new badge in the same place that has a collection of Dodge "hash mark" logos in black with a red SRT Hellcat head logo.
Also, the Hellcat Daytona 50th Anniversary Edition also has a unique badge in this spot, announcing the serial number out of the 501 being produced.
Next, on the 2020 Dodge Charger R/T Scat Pack models without the optional widebody package, buyers can opt for a Dynamics Package that has previously included Brembo six-piston front brakes and 20x9.5-inch black wheels wrapped in 275/40ZR20 all-season performance tires, but new for 2020, this package includes a flat-bottomed steering wheel.
This steering wheel is similar to the flat-bottomed wheel that comes standard in the SRT Hellcat models, but the Scat Pack wheel is completely leather-wrapped all of the way around, where the Hellcat wheel has a metal center-bottom portion. Like the SRT wheel, the Scat Pack wheel comes with shift paddles and an array of control buttons for everything from the gauge cluster to the sound system.
2020 Charger Caramel Interior
If you like the look of the Sepia interior layout, but you want more suede, the new Caramel interior package will be a dream come true. This package adds light brown leather and suede throughout the cabin, with the seats and door panels contrasting nicely against the otherwise black cabin. Unfortunately, we haven’t seen any pictures of this interior layout yet, so we have to use our imagination, but it really seems like it is a lighter version of the Sepia interior, but with a mix of leather and suede whereas Sepia is all leather.
This color package is available on GT Plus, R/T and R/T Scat Pack models, oddly omitting the Hellcat from this option.
Carbon & Suede Package
Finally, the interior change for the 2020 Dodge Charger that could have the biggest impact is the new Carbon & Suede package, which is available on all Hemi-powered models (R/T, Scat Pack and Hellcat). This package adds carbon fiber accents to the instrument panel and console bezels along with Dynamica suede on the headliner, sun visors and A-pillars.
