The 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat is the most powerful American production car of all time so it is clear that the price starting under $60,000 is a smokin’ deal – but this cool graphic from the folks at BBC Autos shows just how great of a deal buyers of the 707hp Challenger are getting.
The 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat fitted with the 6-speed manual transmission carries a starting price of $59,995 not including destination fees but even when you factor in destination and the various fees – the 707hp muscle car is still a deal at $61,053. Opting for the 8-speed automatic transmission raises the price up to $62,636…which is still a solid deal for a muscle car that will shift on its own and run in the 10 second quarter mile range with drag radials.
Those numbers are all very impressive, but this cool graphic from BBC Autos puts the bargain price of the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat with the 6-speed manual transmission into perspective.
How to Spend Your Money on the Hellcat Challenger
Say that you are sitting on a pile of money and you want to buy a high performance car…and the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat is on that list. Say that you were also considering the new Alfa Romeo 4C Launch Edition, the Chevrolet Camaro Z28, the Bentley Continental GT V8, the Porsche 911 Carrera 4S Cabriolet and the Dodge Viper SRT. (All of these prices are from the BBC – local pricing for the different models can vary by location)
You could spend $68,400 on the Alfa Romeo 4C Launch Edition or you could spend $68,495 on the Hellcat Challenger and 4 extra sets of the Pirelli P-Zero Nero tires.
You could spend $72,305 on the Chevrolet Camaro Z28 or you could buy a Hellcat Challenger, a Ducati Monster 821 motorcycle and an Aluma MC10 trailer to tow the Ducati around for $73,490. You could also not bother with the trailer and just buy the Hellcat Challenger and the Ducati Monster for less than you would spend on the Z28.
You could spend $189,000 on the Bentley Continental GT V8 or you could buy a Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, Chevrolet Camaro Z28 and a Ford Shelby GT500 Mustang for $187,410.
You could spend $117,530 on the Porsche 911 Carrera 4S Cabrio or you could buy a Ram 3500, an Aluma car trailer and the Hellcat Challenger for $118,800.
Finally, and the toughest comparison for hardcore Mopar lovers with deep pockets, you could spend $102,485 on the Dodge Viper SRT or you could buy a 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat and a very clean 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T for roughly $40,000 for under $100k.

While those options from the BBC Autos graphic show how much more you could get when buying the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat over some other high performance models…but when you look at cars with similar power to the Hellcat – you can really see the bargain of the 707hp muscle car.
The Lamborghini Aventador has slightly less power than the Hellcat Challenger with 690hp and 507lb-ft of torque yet it costs $397,500. You could buy six Challengers with the manual transmission and still have a little over $37,000 left over. With that much change, you could probably almost get six Hellcat Challengers with all of the standalone options and still have a few bucks leftover for gas.
The Lamborghini Veneno has 740hp and 590lb-ft of torque, but it costs $4,000,000. For four million dollars, you could buy 66 fully loaded Challenger SRT Hellcat models and still have change left. You could buy a new Hellcat Challenger with every option every single week for a year and still have almost a half million dollars left from the Veneno’s price.
The 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat is one incredible piece of high performance machinery and the price makes it a smokin hot deal relative to the cars around the world which offer comparable performance.
