Today at the Chrysler Group’s Mopar division celebration of their 75th anniversary, one of the new Mopar-modified vehicles introduced was the 2013 Dodge Dart GTS 210 Tribute – paying homage to the high performance Dart GTS of the 1960s with the sleek new compact Dart sedan sporting a unique look and improved performance.
The Mopar aftermarket division plans to offer more than 150 accessories for the new compact Dodge Dart sedan but with the Dart GTS 210 Tribute, Mopar has put together a two-stage package that enhances the looks and the performance of the new Dodge Dart. The GTS 210 Tribute package was introduced equipped with both Stage 1 and Stage 2, with Stage 1 being the appearance upgrades while Stage 2 tacks on the performance and power.
The Dodge Dart GTS 210 Tribute Stage 1 begins on the outside with a matte black front chin spoiler, matte black side sills, a matte black rear spoiler and a matter black lower rear diffuser that wraps around the bright polished dual exhaust tips. Mopar then added a set of forged alloy titanium colored 18” wheels wrapped in high performance rubber and the Stage 1 exterior package is completed with the unique lightweight carbon fiber hood with an air intake opening.
Inside, the Stage 1 package continues with the black and red scheme, beginning with Ruby Red Kaztkin leather front and rear seats with contrasting black stitching. The Ruby Red is also found on the door panels, center armrest cover and map pocket inserts. The shifter bezel, cup holder bezel and HVAC ducts are finished in piano black while the Dart GTS 210 Tribute Stage 1 interior package finishes off with a black suede dash cap over the leather wrapped black and red steering wheel.
Those who want more than just enhanced looks out of their 2013 Dodge Dart GTS 210 Tribute can opt for the Mopar Stage 2 package, which begins under the hood with the 2.4L Tigershark engine. This engine puts out 184 horsepower in standard production form but that wasn’t enough for the Mopar crew and this is where the “210” part of the GTS Tribute name comes into play. Mopar began by adding a high flow cold air intake package and a high performance exhaust system, both of which work with the specially calibrated engine control unit to make 210 horsepower – a 14% increase over the standard 2.4L Tigershark output.
Mopar has not offered any availability or pricing information on the Dodge Dart GTS 210 Tribute but with any luck, this package will come to production as it really brings out the sporty nature of the new Dodge Dart.
