Toyota has raised the price of the 2011 Land Cruiser and 2012 FJ Cruiser. At the same time, Toyota announced this afternoon that it will hold the line on showroom prices for the 2012 Highlander and Highlander Hybrid. All of the vehicles are sport-utility trucks.
The FJ Cruiser (pictured) is unchanged for 2012 except for the price. Its sticker from $25,990 for the 4x2 equipped with a 5-speed automatic transmission to $27,580 for the 4x4 V6 automatic. The price is $200 higher than 2011 models, an increase of less than 1%.
Toyota has boosted the MSRP for the Land Cruiser to $69,120, a $200 increase over 2011 that bumps up the price a negligible 0.3%.
The Highlander and Highlander Hybrid carry over with no new features for 2012 and maintain their current MSRPs. The gas Highlander sticker ranges from $28,090 for the base 2WD 4-cylinder with a 6-speed automatic transmission to $37,045 for the Limited grade V6 with a 5-speed automatic. Highlander Hybrid prices range from $38,140 for based 4WD to $43,795 for the Limited 4WD.
The MSRPs for the gas and hybrid Highlanders, FJ Cruiser and 2011 Land Cruiser do not include a delivery, processing and handling fee of $810.
Prices for 2012 gas Highlander, FJ Cruiser and the 2011 Land Cruiser commence with the start of August production. Prices for the 2012 Highlander Hybrid began July 20, when assembly of the new models began.
