Toyota took the wraps off of its new 2012 Tundra T-Force today. The 2.0 Limited Edition is for off-road enthusiasts who want to make a statement about their outdoor lifestyle, Toyota General Manager Bob Carter said in unveiling the truck in Dallas at the Texas state fair.
Only 500 will be built of the limited-production truck for customers in the Gulf States area. The 2012 Tundra T-Force 2.0 will include pocketed fender flares, textured-black T-Force running boards and special T-Force badges.
The latest Tundra Texas Edition is offered exclusively in the Lone Star State, with custom "Texas Edition" exterior badges, 20-inch alloy wheels and upgraded all-terrain tires and chrome accessories. It also will have a special bonus cash incentive.
Also today, Toyota announced:
1. Entune is expanding from the current three models into 10 models in the next few months. Most of the additions are to Toyota trucks and SUVs.
The 4Runner adds Entune in October and the RAV4 and Corolla follow later this year. In 2012, the Land Cruiser, Tundra, Sienna and Sequoia will get Entune, too.
2. Gas-model Camrys will start reaching dealerships this week. The 43-miles-per-gallon Camry Hybrid will arrive later this fall.
