In a new video short, Infiniti takes us behind the scenes to see what it's like to win their Performance Engineering Academy and enter the ranks of Infiniti engineers.
For students who win the opportunity to join Infiniti for a season as an intern, it's the opportunity of a lifetime. But what is that time with the Infiniti Red Bull Racing team and Infiniti Motor Company really like for the Performance Engineering Academy winner? This video shows us a glimpse of that.
As the Title Partner and Vehicle Performance Partner of Infiniti Red Bull Racing, Infiniti has a far-reaching technical collaboration with the four-time FIA Formula One World Championship winning Team. This one-of-a-kind global search for the world's best up-and-coming engineering undergraduates offers the unique opportunity to work across the very best of motorsport and automotive engineering.
The video focuses on 2014 Infiniti Performance Engineering Academy winners Jason Zide, William Priest and Eric LaRoche as they spend a typical day at the office. Each of the three works in a different section of the Infiniti facility and sees a different aspect of the engineering going into the Infiniti Formula One cars and Infiniti road cars. During their time at Infiniti, of course, each of them will move to several positions within the Infiniti team to work as engineers on different aspects of racing and road-going cars.
Not exactly your typical day at the office, I'd say.
