World debuts from key players like BMW, Porsche, Ford, Honda and more have been confirmed and this year, the Connected Car Expo will be held in conjunction with the LA Auto Show's press days to showcase even more automotive tech.
The Los Angeles Auto Show is one of the most-anticipated in the nation. On the calendar, it's the last show of the year, but for automakers, it's the first major show of the season where they can debut their next-generation models. In the past, many vehicles have seen their world debut in LA.
This year will be little different as over fifty world and North American debuts are expected. Automakers like BMW, Chevrolet, Ford, Honda, Mercedes-Benz, MINI, Porsche, Subaru and Volkswagen have all confirmed debuts at the 2013 LA Auto Show, setting the tone for 2014.
In addition to the debuts, the new Connected Car Expo will also be held in conjunction with the press events just before the show opens to the public. This exposition promises technology insights, expert commentary, and information on the latest and greatest in automotive electronics, many of which will likely be showcased further at next year's Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. This adds another pre-season dimension to the LA show.
The press days and CCE show will feature automotive influencers like the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration's David Strickland, Google's Ron Medford, and the Auto Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers' CEO Mitch Bainwol. Executives from Sprint, OnStar, and Qualcomm will also be there.
Automotive press days for the LA Auto Show and opening days for the CCE show begin on November 19 and run through the 21st. You can be sure that TorqueNews will have complete coverage of the event. This year's show is promising to be one of the biggest and best so far.
