Ever want the rare and exciting opportunity to test drive a real Formula One car on a FIA track? This may be your chance to do it. Infiniti is giving someone the chance to go to Dubai for an F1 race weekend and drive a real F1 car on the track. But there's a catch.
How about this for a weekend getaway: VIP treatment for two in Dubai, the chance to see a Formula One race up close and personal, and the opportunity to get into a real Formula One car and hit the track under the tutelage of two professional F1 drivers? Sound good?
Infiniti is giving away this chance to three lucky drivers for this ultimate race fan experience. Winners will get to visit the Infiniti Red Bull Racing team factory in Milton Keynes and practice in the racing simulator there to hone their skills enough to head for the track. Then a real, ready-to-fly Formula One car will await them and race drivers Danill Kvyat at the Rockingham Motor Speedway. A panel of judges will assess their skills and on that panel will be SEbastien Buemi, the IRB team's resident testing and reserve driver.
Once the on-track experience is completed in the UK, it's off to Dubai where track side seats for the Grand Prix with VIP hospitality await.
Commenting on the event, Carl Bayliss, Country Manager, Infiniti UK, said: “Never before has Infiniti offered a prize of this calibre and we are delighted to be able to reward potential and existing customers with an opportunity like this. Our partnership with Infiniti Red Bull Racing has helped us to emphasise the performance part of our DNA, so offering one winner the chance to experience the ultimate test drive is a real testament to our own Inspired Performance.”
Infiniti is calling this the Ultimat eDrive campaign and all that's required to enter is that participants go to an Infiniti dealership and test drive a car after signing up. The kicker? It's only open to race fans in the United Kingdom, Russia, and the Middle East. I guess Americans will have to wait until Infiniti enters NASCAR for our chance at something like this.
