Although the horrendous appearance of this vehicle can be described in words, it is best to just look at it.
Most people would agree that some very weird items can be found on Craigslist. That being said, this “vehicle” from the Knoxville Craigslist certainly has to be one of the strangest things ever to make its way onto the popular classified site. While it may not be unusual for individuals to restore and rebuild cars, this reconstruction attempt might take the cake. Just how bad can it be? Well, let’s take a look at the seller’s listing, unedited:
“for sale 1962 international truckcar, has every optional that a car could have ,has frontwheel drive driveline disk brakes all around , has air bags that are in working order has oldsmobile dash with tilt cruise , power seats , air -did work but i low of freon due from setting -can drive it anywhere, every light works as well as new cab lights allready has grandam door handles installed and work great, has alloy wheels and this truck has a good title which is titled as a international, has a grand am rear with the original duel exhaust, car is fuel injected and there are no check engine lights on?everthing is in working order but the aircondition is low of freon call if interested to much to list lots of time put in this car , have to many other projects to ,do so call 606 456 xxxx -no emails please -price is firm -have probly twice as much invested .-this vehicle will be sold where is as is…thanks.”
Grammatical errors notwithstanding, the seller appears to know very little about how automobiles work. According to the post, “the aircondition is low on freon,” but it still drives fine. Sorry to break it to the creator of this vehicular monstrosity, but a vehicle lacking freon will hardly drive fine if the driver cares the slightest about the summer’s heat. Also, the purchaser of this vehicle will not likely get to far with its “International title,” whatever that means.
In the end, the best thing readers can do is send this Craigslist seller a firm message by not buying this vehicle, which the seller refers to as a “1962 International rat rod.” Though the car may not be a rat rod, the seller definitely typifies some rodent characteristics, especially in regard to the vehicle’s asking price of $3,000. Not only does the seller want $3,000, but claims this is a firm price.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I think it looks better than 3/4 of the new designs being offered at auto shows as concepts nowadays. :)
And speaking of Concept Cars,
And speaking of Concept Cars, I would say that "Rat Rod" still looks better than the Chrysler PT Cruiser did when it came out.
