The 2016 Mazda CX-5 crossover is singled out for value.
The Greater Atlanta Automotive Media Association (GAMMA) meets annually to evaluate twenty of the best family vehicles. The winners in each category are standouts in their class. This year, GAMMA selected the 2016 Mazda CX-5 compact crossover as its “Best Value Family Car.”
The 2016 Mazda CX-5 won its category for its overall value. In its press release, GAMMA pointed to the CX-5s qualities and said it “…delivers outstanding performance in a range of categories for less than the average new-car price.” The Mazda CX-5 typically retails for between $26K and $32K.
The Mazda CX-5 has been updated for 2016. The look has changed a bit, new wheel options are available, and Mazda Connect joins the options list. The CX-5 is mid-cycle now and will be new in the 2018 model year. Notable family-related awards the CX-5 has received in the recent past include a Top Safety Pick Plus rating by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. IIHS gave the CX-5 its highest possible score on the strength of its crash tests, all of which were rated Good, and its optional advanced forward collision prevention system.
GAMMA also singled out the 2016 Mazda6 sedan as the “Best Tech Family Car.”
