Mazda lets the cat out of the bag on the hard-top convertible Miata.
This week Mazda concluded the select customer pre-ordering for the 2017 MX-5 Miata RF Launch Edition. Once the loyal customers had their chance to opt in, Mazda opened up ordering for the remaining portion of the 1,000 Launch Edition cars to the general public. Torque News Readers were among both of the groups who put down a deposit on the RF Launch Edition, and we hope to hear from them early next year when the cars are delivered.
Mazda also revealed the prices for the 2017 MX-5 Miata RF this week. The below prices are the Mazda MSRP listings. These do not include $835 destination and delivery or dealer add-on costs such as documentation fees:

Mazda started to build the new MX-5 Miata RF October 4rth at the Ujina Plant No.1 near the Company’s Hiroshima HQ. The first deliveries of the MX-5 Miata RF will be in Japan by the end of 2016. Mazda says that U.S. customers should see dealer inventory early next year.
