Ford's Edge ST is one of our favorite performance crossovers. Now Ford adds a new trim level for those that want excitement in their daily driver crossover.
Ford's Edge ST is one of the most impressive performance crossovers we've driven. It's raw power and impressive torque from its 6-cylinder EcoBoost engine is a big part of what makes us love the vehicle. However, not everyone needs 335 hp in their daily driver. For those who still want a healthy dose of performance, but with more balanced fuel economy and pricing, Ford has just introduced the new 2020 Edge ST-Line. “Edge ST continues to break new ground with terrific styling, powerful performance and smart technology,” said Craig Patterson, Ford SUV marketing manager. “But some customers want style and value and don’t need all of the horsepower. For them, Edge ST-Line hits the bull’s-eye – again.”
With a starting price $5K less than Edge ST, the Ford Edge ST-Line shares the same aggressive looks and includes many of the same ST features customers enjoy. The Edge ST-Line's styling was inspired by Ford Performance and includes a unique ST-style grille with body-colored bumpers, black ST beltline molding combined with lower sport cladding, standard fog lamps and signature LED lighting. In addition, black roof rack side rails, 20-inch gloss black aluminum wheels, and unique Edge ST-Line badging further compliment the look of the new SUV.
For a fun-to-drive experience, the Ford Edge ST-Line comes standard with a 250-horsepower twin-scroll 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine featuring Auto Start-Stop, 8-speed automatic transmission, and available all-wheel-drive capability. The Edge ST-Line also comes loaded with tech features including standard SYNC 3 with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Waze, and Ford+Alexa compatibility. There is also a wireless phone charging pad. Ford Co-Pilot360 driver assist technology with enhanced Active Park Assist, Evasive Steering Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop-and-Go, Lane-Centering, and All-Wheel-Drive Disconnect – are all optional.
Ford is now accepting pre-orders for the 2020 Edge ST-Line at your nearest dealer.
