Costco has promotions underway that can save Chevy, Audi, and Volvo shoppers money on a new or certified pre-owned car purchase.
Torque News is happy to report that Costco Auto Program is running three programs concurrently to help save new and certified pre-owned (CPO) vehicle shoppers money. The Costo Auto Program is always an excellent way for Costco members to save when shopping for a vehicle, but it is unusual for the program to have three campaigns running at once.
Three manufacturers are currently involved in the special programs. They include Volvo, Chevrolet, and Audi. This is the first time that Costco Auto Program has launched three separate incentives with three different OEMs in one day.
Here is a summary of the three programs. For more details, start at the Costco Auto Program’s main page.
Volvo’s "Certified by Volvo" Limited-Time Special
Costco Auto Program is piloting its first certified pre-owned (CPO) incentive. This is the program’s first such incentive. Through Sept. 30, 2022, Costco members can receive an exclusive $1,250 Costco member-only incentive on select, “Certified by Volvo” 2019 through 2021 XC60 and XC90 vehicles.
“Costco Auto Program is excited to begin delivering member-only incentives on CPO vehicles, starting with Volvo,” said Jay Maxwell, Costco Auto Program general manager. “In our past promotions on new Volvo models, the XC90 and XC60 topped sales. Now, Costco members can enjoy exclusive savings on Volvo’s most popular CPO models.”
The Volvo XC90 and the XC60 are among the most popular Volvo vehicles in the Costco Auto Program. It is no surprise since KBB named both the 2019 XC60 and XC90 Top Certified Pre-Owned Volvo Models earlier in 2022.
The Insurance Institute For Highway Safety has awarded Volvo models as follows:
Top Safety Pick – XC90 in 2019; XC60 in 2019 and 2020
Top Safety Pick+ – XC90 in 2020 and 2021; XC60 in 2021
Chevrolet Silverado HD Special
HD pickup trucks have been among the top-selling vehicles during Costco Auto Program promotions with Chevrolet. Through Sept. 30, 2022, eligible Costco members who purchase or lease a new 2021, 2022, or 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD or 3500 HD can combine a $1,000 member-only incentive with all other available incentives for which the member qualifies.
"The Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD and 3500 HD have the largest Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) and greatest torque out of all heavy-duty pickup trucks in their class," said Jay Maxwell, Costco Auto Program general manager. "This means Costco members who use this truck will have the power and capacity to handle tough jobs with ease. It’s no surprise that this is a Costco member favorite."
Audi Care Special
In another first for Costco Auto Program, eligible Costco members can receive complimentary Audi Care when they purchase or lease a select new model. "This is the first time Audi has worked with a third party to promote Audi Care and offered their prepaid scheduled maintenance package complimentary on new vehicles," said Cory Benwell, general manager at Costco Auto Program. "We're excited to extend this valuable maintenance package to Costco members during the Audi Care Special."
Audi Care provides the following benefits:
10k/20k/30k/40k comprehensive maintenance services
Simple online scheduling
Audi genuine parts and quality service provided by trained Audi technicians
Valid at Authorized Audi dealers in the U.S.
The Audi Care incentive runs through Oct. 3, 2022.
