The 2015* Mazda6 sedan was the number one vehicle in its class in the just released 2014 J.D. Power APEAL study. The One might think that the Camry an Accord would be the ones to beat, but actually J.D. Power says it was the Hyundai Sonata and Kia Optima that Mazda6 had to edge out to become number one. The Mazda6’s score of 821 was 21 points above the segment average.
What Do People Say About the Mazda6?
J.D. Power pointed out that the Mazda6, which is only available with a 4-cylinder engine, “can be optioned with several technologies commonly available only on more expensive vehicles.” That is an understatement. The Mazda6 can come with technologies like forward crash prevention, which helped the car earn the industry’s highest safety level, the IIHS Top Safety Pick Plus rating. Even the Tesla Model S, which costs three times as much as the Mazda6, does not offer this technology.
Mazda's Constant Improvement Pays Off
