We overview the best winer snow tires for your Toyota RAV4.
The Toyota RAV4 is an outstanding vehicle for winter weather. We feel that Toyota has made excellent choices regarding the all-season tires on the RAV4s it builds. However, for those that want the added stopping and turning security offered by dedicated winter snow tires here are the best options to check out.
Toyota RAV4 Winter Tire - Bridgestone Blizzak DM-V2
Owners who purchase the Bridgestone Blizzak DM-V2 give it 4.5 stars on reviews. 94% say they would recommend the tires. We checked out the 2019 RAV4 XLE trim's 225/65R17 size on Tire Rack and saw that they cost only $140. Shoppers should budget about $150 for each tire (and you need four of course) and another $100 for mounting and balancing.
Your author owns two sets of Blizzak DM-V2 tires. One set is on a 2007 Toyota Highlander and another is on a 2016 Subaru Forester. The Blizzaks are amazing in winter conditions. Their best performance and the most noticeable is in icy conditions. We have found they can last up to four seasons, or about 20,000 miles before any noticeable treadwear occurs.
Toyota RAV4 Winter Tire - Value Choice
Those with a tight budget may wish to check out the General Altimax Arctic 12. This tire earns similar review ratings from owners and has a price under $130 each at Tire Rack. Like all winter tires, the Altimax Arctic 12 has a winter compound, sipes, and a tread pattern that works well in snow.
