One by one, Toyota is adding each American state to its insurance program. This week three more states were added to the tally.

Why not buy your car insurance from the same company that makes and services your car? It seems like a no-brainer to us. Brands like Tesla have had very positive feedback on their direct insurance business, and Toyota’s is now expanding rapidly.

The news this week is that Toyota has added the states of Colorado, Georgia, and Oregon. “We’re excited to continue our rollout of Toyota Auto Insurance, expanding our reach to even more customers,” said Rob Spencer, Toyota Insurance President. “We look forward to offering our customers in Colorado, Georgia and Oregon exceptional value and top-tier service to enhance their Toyota ownership experience.”

Toyota says that Toyota Auto Insurance offers consumers a quick, easy, and flexible policy purchase process via Toyota’s state-of-the-art mobile app, call center agents, participating Toyota dealerships, and the ToyotaAutoInsurance.com website.

The most interesting aspect of Toyota insurance may be that the insurance may be applied to both Toyota and non-Toyota vehicles in a customer’s household. Therefore, you won’t have to keep your old insurance company for your other vehicles. Your Toyota Insurance agent can even help you find the right policy at the right price for home or renters insurance!

Another novel feature of Toyota Auto Insurance is Side Hustle insurance for those who use their Toyota in rideshare or food delivery. Toyota even offers pet passenger insurance.

The current list of states in which owners can opt into Toyota insurance is now: Arizona, California, Colorado, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, Ohio, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas.

Toyota isn’t going it alone in this endeavor. Toyota Auto Insurance is backed by Toggle, part of Farmers Insurance. That means customers benefit from more than 90 years of insurance insights, knowledge, and award-winning claims support.
