Last week we reported that the all-new 2014 Land Rover Range Rover Sport will be revealed in New York on the eve of the 2013 New York Auto Show by making a live drive through Manhattan, on March 26th. The ground-breaking event will also be broadcast live to audiences around the world via an internet microsite. The debut of the new Range Rover Sport will be a first-ever live drive through the streets of New York City and a launch film will be produced and part of the live reveal sequence.
An iconic British actor will be featured
Land Rover has just announced that an iconic British actor will be filmed alongside the new Sport as it makes its global debut. They did not reveal who the iconic British actor will be, but we are wondering if it could be one of the famous James Bond stars. Land Rover says the actor will be a “very special and very British Land Rover ambassador.”
Land Rover is also working with a Hollywood director and production company to create the unique reveal of the 2014 Range Rover Sport. The New York launch will be revealed both to a live audience in Manhattan and via a global online broadcast. New York city is the largest Range Rover Sport market in the world, and is a strategic place for Land Rover to make the unique reveal.
Lightweight and more fuel-efficient

The 2014 Range Rover Sport is all-new and will feature Land Rover’s high-strength aluminum unibody architecture. The new Sport will shed a few pounds and should be the fastest, most responsive and agile vehicle Land Rover has ever produced. Edwards went on to say, "The all-new Range Rover Sport takes the model to another level. It is Land Rover's most dynamic vehicle yet and showcases the best of British design, engineering and technological innovation."
Guests can register to see the event live
As the anticipation builds for the global premiere on March 26th, Land Rover will allow guests to register online ahead of the event. Audiences around the globe will be able to see the live drive and reveal via the internet microsite. But they must register to receive their personal invitation to view the reveal and be the first to receive news and information.
The first of its kind live broadcast reveal of a new model will give registered guests “the best seats in the house” and they will be able to select a range of camera angles and viewing points from which to watch the reveal. Audiences will also be treated to exclusive content available on the site including a special live broadcast after the reveal. This unique program will feature interviews with those responsible for the Range Rover Sport's driving dynamics, innovative technology and design.
