Manhart Racing is getting ready to present their newest project called the Mh2 450. What will they do to the new 2016 BMW M2?
The all-new 2016 BMW M2 isn’t even ready for its dealer launch and German tuner Manhart Racing already has big plans for the M2. They call it the Mh2 450 because they are taking the all-new BMW M2 and giving it a significant power upgrade of 80 horsepower over the factory model. Manhart Racing is taking their 30 years of experience and producing this M2 to celebrate.
Manhart isn’t revealing too much about the Mh2 450 just yet, but we know from a rendering that it will get beautiful yellow exterior paint with a black carbon fiber hood with a powerdome and black carbon fiber roof. We can also see a carbon fiber splitter, carbon fiber air curtains, and yellow calipers peaking through a set of custom black wheels.
The stock M2 comes with a TwinPower Turbo 3.0-liter 6-cylinder inline engine that pumps out an impressive 365 bhp and 343 lb-ft of torque. This is more than 70 lb-ft of additional torque than the past generation M3 produced. When Manhart Racing gets their hands on the M2, it will produce more hp than the M3/M4.
The German tuner known for a product portfolio consisting of carbon fiber parts, custom exhaust systems, fully adjustable suspension setups and perfectly fitted wheel/tire combinations will pump up the horsepower to 450 by using ECU remapping paired with a custom exhaust system and catless downpipes. We will likely see the 2016 BMW M2 Mh2 450 for their 30th anniversary next summer.
