The 2022 Subaru BRZ, Forester, Outback, and WRX will all get significant upgrades with new models and trims in 2021. See what’s coming later this year.
The 2021 Subaru Forester, Crosstrek, and Outback are at Subaru retailers now, but more new models are coming in 2021. Here is a preview of two new models the automaker has said are coming and two that will be a surprise.
2022 Subaru BRZ
The all-new second-generation 2022 Subaru BRZ is the Japanese automaker's first reveal in 2021. The sports coupe gets a complete redesign from the ground up. The rear-drive two-door BRZ comes with a new 2.4-liter non-turbocharged direct-injection Boxer engine. You can read our full report here.
The 2022 BRZ also gets upgrades to the suspension, a lower center of gravity, a new cabin, and it’s the lightest rear-wheel-drive 2+2 production sports car in the U.S. market.
Production of the 2022 Subaru BRZ will begin in the spring of 2021, and the newly redesigned sports coupe will go on sale early fall of 2021.

2022 Subaru WRX
The 2022 Subaru WRX gets a complete redesign and will be revealed sometime this fall. The all-new 2022 WRX will likely be powered by Subaru's new 2.4-liter direct-injection turbocharged FA24 Boxer engine replacing the 2.0-liter FA20 powerplant.
Subaru should increase power from the current 2.0-liter turbocharged engine's 268 horsepower rating, but Subaru has not released any information on how much. The 2022 WRX will make its global reveal this fall. The new sport-tuned WRX will arrive in U.S. showrooms later this year.
The 2022 Subaru WRX STI will be delayed due to COVID and the STI won’t begin production until the fall of 2022. Look for the all-new WRX STI to hit showrooms in early 2023.
2022 Subaru Forester and Outback Wilderness Edition
We have heard from sources close to Subaru, two new outdoor-themed models are coming this year. If reports are accurate, a new 2022 Subaru Forester and 2022 Subaru Outback Wilderness Edition models are in the works.

Don't forget the Impreza has
Don't forget the Impreza has completed its 5 year production run (2017-2021), so it is due to be replaced this fall.
First and foremost in my
First and foremost in my opine you really can’t go wrong with any Subaru you purchase. I leased an 05 Outback Xt and fell in love with the car and Subaru. In 2010 my coworkers convinced me to buy American so I bought a Ford Focus SEL - you should own that b4 ever complaining about a Subaru - b4 36k my power steering went, at 50k my engine blew up so I bought another and that went after another 5k so with that - I’ve saved and I’m waiting on either a 2022 WRX hathch (plze Subaru) should Subaru decide to manufacture it or a 2023 White Subaru Onyx Xt (refresh) - Subaru if your reading this why not up the hp in the Outback if your not making a hatch - I’ll pay a lil extra - Signed a fan of Subaru
