A BMW E92 M3 owner dropped off his mostly stock M3 to EAS and told them he wanted more power. He got a whole lot more than he expects.

Even though the new 2015 BMW M3/M4 has a new TwinPower turbo inline six powerplant, previous generation M3 owners still like the unmistakable looks and power of the naturally aspirated V8 engine under the hood of the E92 M3. Many owners want to keep up with the new higher performance 2015 M3 and take their performance cars to European Auto Source (EAS) for a few upgrades.

A 2012 E92 M3 owner dropped off his mostly stock M3 to EAS and told them he wanted more power. The BMW performance shop had just the answer and went to work on the E92. This Space Gray coupe was upgraded with a major increase in performance. As they normally do, EAS straps down the car to their Dynojet to get a baseline reading on power before they go to work. The E92 was generating a healthy 360hp and 265 lb. ft of torque in its naturally aspirated form.

After the short ride on the Dynojet, EAS went to work and installed an ESS VT2-625 intercooled supercharger. This system delivers 6.5PSI of forced induction and changes everything for the V8. They also upgraded the exhaust with a MACH Force exhaust system to allow the 4.0-liter V8 to breath. After the supercharger and exhaust system install, EAS put it back on the dyno and it ripped off an amazing 540hp and 351 lb. ft of torque.

No bump in hp would complete without a new look, so EAS installed the popular KW HAS sleeve-over kit and a set of Macht Schnell spacers and lowered the stance of the Space Gray M3. It received a few finishing touches to set it apart even further and gets OEM ZCP wheels and a few carbon fiber exterior pieces. EAS built a real sleeper for this happy E92 customer. It will blow away the new 2015 M3/M4 and most other cars it will come up against now.
