How does Subaru market the new 2016 WRX STI to future performance fans? It’s called Subaru’s Galande taxi.
We’ve all heard about Uber and Lyft taxis springing up all over the country, but what about Subaru’s Galande taxi? Subaru markets the WRX STI to future performance fans on the ski slopes in a brilliant way. Subaru gives skiers in Japan free lifts in their all-wheel-drive vehicles up the ski slopes. They do it to show the all-wheel-drive capabilities of the Forester, Outback, Crosstrek and WRX STI. It’s brilliant marketing as winter sports are in high gear.
Marketing the WRX STI
What better way to show the STI’s performance than to power through deep snow on the ski slope? They bring in All Japan Rally Championship driver Kamata Takuma who takes a 2016 Subaru WRX STI sedan and thrills skiers at the 2016 “Slope Taxi” event this winter season. Winter sports enthusiasts get to see the champion demonstrate the STI’s all-wheel-drive capabilities in the deep snow at ski resorts throughout Japan.
Subaru markets their vehicles to a new generation
It’s all part of Subaru’s “Slope Taxi 2016” events they are holding this season to introduce a young generation to Subaru’s AWD vehicles. It’s the STI these young skiers want to see most. When the young skiers see the STI’s performance in the snow, you can bet they will think of the WRX or WRX STI when they buy a new car when they get out of college. The young generation of future car buyers gets to experience the new performance sedan’s AWD performance in extreme snow conditions as it powers up the ski slope to the top of the mountain.
The WRX STI is a big hit
It’s how Subaru brilliantly markets the WRX STI to future performance fans in Japan. The younger Japanese skiers couldn’t get enough of the STI and took pictures and put a few videos of the car on Instagram. Check out the new 2016 Subaru WRX STI’s performance in the snow here.
