The 2018 Subaru WRX and Crosstrek score the IIHS Top Safety Pick+ Award. What other Subaru vehicles achieved it too?
The Subaru brand is all about safety for their customers and it’s a core vale for the Japanese automaker. Now every 2018 Subaru model in the stable equipped with EyeSight and LED Steering Responsive Headlights received the highest possible 2017 safety rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).
The 2018 Subaru WRX performance sedan and Crosstrek crossover join the 2018 Forester, Impreza, Legacy and Outback with the top honor. Subaru touts how they want to be the global leader in overall safety. They've been developing their EyeSight driver assist safety system when it launched in 1999. The Subaru Corporation has used the stereo cameras as safety devices ever since, and Active Driver Assist (ADA) continues to be developed to this day in the new-generation EyeSight found in the newly-remodeled 2018 WRX and all-new 2018 Subaru Crosstrek.
The Crosstrek is an IIHS Top Safety Pick for six years running (2012-2017) and WRX for three years running (2015-2017). Subaru wants to be the global automobile safety leader and they are proving it with the 2018 Subaru WRX and Crosstrek scoring the IIHS Top Safety Pick+ Award.
