The 2021 Subaru Outback isn’t setting records like the number one Forester and hot new Crosstrek, which both had their best March ever, but the wagon/SUV is impressive in the first quarter of 2021. The newly-remodeled Outback has 41,503 vehicle sales in quarter one, up 27.3 percent year-to-date.

The Outback is second behind Forester (21,005 vehicle sales) in the Subaru of America lineup in March, with 17,053 models delivered to customers. That’s an increase of 99.0 percent compared to March 2020, when the COVID pandemic shut down retailers.
March 2021, with 65,726 vehicle sales, marked the second-best month in the Camden N.J. automaker’s history after August 2019 (70,039). Subaru reported year-to-date sales of 160,426, a 23 percent increase compared to quarter one 2020 and the best first-quarter sales in company history.
The Outback received a complete remodel for the 2020 model with new upgrades inside and out. The most significant addition was the new Outback XT trims with the 2.4-liter turbocharged engine.
