The 2021 Subaru Outback hits a new milestone for the Camden, N.J. automaker. Subaru of America sold its 2.5 millionth Outback built at the plant in Lafayette, Indiana. Why is the 2021 Subaru Outback so popular?
There are multiple reasons why SUV shoppers buy more Outbacks than any wagon in America. The Outback is selling well because it has agile driving dynamics, fuel economy, and new safety tech features. A new generation of buyers and loyal Subaru enthusiasts are attracted to the SUV-alternative multi-purpose vehicle.
The Outback is a wagon but offers the utility and cargo-carrying ability of an SUV. Consumers who buy the Outback like its car-like ride not found in a typical SUV.
The Subaru Outback also earns the highest crash scores of any SUV. The 2021 Outback earned a Top Safety Pick + winner from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), and all trims come with Subaru's EyeSight driver-assist technology.
The Outback isn't slowing down
According to a new study from Consumer Reports, the 2021 Outback SUV/Wagon is one of the Top-10 Picks of 2021 Best Cars of the Year. In the $35,000-$45,000 price range, the 2021 Subaru Outback is the best SUV/Wagon.
What is the price of the 2021 Subaru Outback?
The 2021 Outback comes in seven trim levels, base $27,845, Premium ($30,095), Limited ($34,645), Onyx Edition XT ($36,195), Limited XT ($38,545), Touring ($39,045), and Touring XT ($40,995).
