Tom Cruise takes the BMW M3 through the narrow streets of Morocco on a high-speed chase. How real are the stunts?
Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation features some exciting action as Tom Cruise playing his character Ethan Hunt gets into some hairy situations. We see him driving the new BMW M3 in the movie and Cruise destroyed a few of the performance cars while shooting the film. How realistic are the stunts in the movie? BMW says the stunts look real, because they are real. Check out the video from BMW.
Wade Eastwood, Stunt Coordinator on “Mission: Impossible-Rogue Nation,” says that Tom Cruise’s driving is brilliant in the movie. Cruise is known for doing his own stunts, and has even stopped off the set in a tantrum if he isn’t allowed to do his own stunts.
The BMW M3 car chase through the narrow streets of Morocco was “kind of mind-blowing” says, co-star Simon Pegg who plays Benji Dunn in the movie. “I’ve never driven through narrow alleys so fast in my life.” It was Cruise behind the wheel of the M3 when they filmed the car chase, not a stunt driver. “Everything you see is real,” Eastwood says. “It was all Tom.”
