The guys at RADO Motorsports have put out a must-see video of the 2014 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Twin-turbo shooting out flames on the dyno.
The boys at RADO Motorsports put out a must-see video of their highly-tuned 2014 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG shooting massive flames on the dyno. They know how to tune any Mercedes-Benz car, but RADO Motorsports cranks up the horsepower on the already potent 2014 SLS AMG and then they see what it will do on the dyno.
Why does RADO Motorsports think it needs to crank it up to 850 hp? Because they can. Mercedes-AMG is all about high-performance and the SLS AMG is already plenty potent. The new 2014 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Coupe Black Series high-end supercar is the fifth Black Series model from Mercedes-AMG and is the most extreme version yet of what performance is about. Mercedes-AMG has already built a truly intoxicating performance car in the new SLS AMG Coupe Black Series.
AMG continues to put out the best supercars on the planet. And RADO Motorsports takes it to another level. From the AMG factory, the SLS model is already the most extreme version of the SLS model in the companies history. It generates neck-snapping power with an output of 622 horsepower and 468 lb-ft of torque. The AMG Black Series accelerates from 0-60 mph in just 3.5 seconds with a top speed of 196 mph. This is the last model year as Mercedes launches a new Final Edition 2015 SLS AMG GT.
But can you imagine this performance car with 850 horsepower? RADO Motorsports, in Torrance, CA is dedicated to making any Mercedes-Benz vehicle faster. So why not take the SLS AMG and see what it can do with more tuning? The video below shows the 850 hp SLS AMG twin-turbo shooting out flames on the RADO dyno.
But what is most amusing, is the guy sitting in the trunk of the performance car while it’s on the dyno. The 2014 Mercedes-Benz SLA AMG is ultra-lightweight and we can only assume he’s there to keep more weight on the rear tires as they spin at these high speeds. Watch what happens when it shoots out flames while he’s sitting inches away.
