Ford BlueCruise Comparison Discussion to Tesla Autopilot and GM Super Cruise by Consumer Reports

Here’s the latest from Consumer Reports on how Ford’s assisted driving tech---BlueCruise---differs from Tesla’s Autopilot and GM’s Super Cruise.

BlueCruise---Ford’s active driving assistance feature is similar to both Tesla’s Autopilot and GM’s Super Cruise systems, but differs in some significant ways that could make safe driving expectations more realistic with today’s latest tech rather than current consumer hype.

To put Ford’s BlueCruise to the test, Consumer Reports automotive experts recently test drove a Mustang Mach-E GT outfitted with BlueCruise and took a look at how BlueCruise handles based subjectively on new driver experience with drivers who had previously experienced the Autopilot and Super Cruise systems.

The focus was to compare how BlueCruise handles steering, braking, and acceleration and what it means regarding safety and the overall driving experience using BlueCruise.

As such, CR analysts put together a Talking Cars episode on YouTube that focuses on what BlueCruise is and is not, in comparison with the other assisted driving systems.
