This filthy and repo car, a 2012 Chrysler, sold at auction, took 12 hours to deep clean - and by the end of it, the car looked brand new.

Deep Cleaning, A 2012 Chrysler 200 On Repo:

Normally, I share Tesla and EV news, however, this was too good to pass up reporting on.

I was watching a video recently of a deep cleaning done by a guy, "The Detail Geek" and this deep cleaning took 12 hours on a 2012 Chrysler 200. The car was bought at auction due to being repossessed, and I am going to guess that whoever bought it, paid around $1,000 or less.

This twelve hour deep cleaning, even though the price was not stated, probably cost at least $3,000 and made the car look completely brand new. I've never seen a car this dirty get cleaned to the point it looks brand new, but I'm guessing whoever bought this, knew that if they could get the car fixed up and cleaned like this, it might be usable for them or be able to be sold for a few thousand dollars more.

The first step was cleaning the trunk, and the cleaner used a high-powered sprayer hooked up to the water line in his garage. There was dirt everywhere - inside and outside the trunk area.

The tires also needed a deep clean and were sprayed with cleaning material and meticulously scrubbed and brushed in order to get them looking brand new.

The floor mats had to be removed from the car and set on the ground in the garage and thoroughly deep cleaned back and forth with the high-powered hose and a cleaning solution. By the end, their dark color came back.

The bulk of the work, however, was in the interior. He had to disconnect the battery and electrical system before beginning the cleaning, and also had to take out the back seats.

There was a lot of broken glass and leaves in the car. He also took out the center console and several dash components and began grabbing leaves and broken glass and putting them in a bag.

Once that work was done, a high-powered vacuum was used to clean up the remaining dirt and debris. By this time, the inside of the car was looking a lot better.

The same vacuum was used on the back of the seats in the car, which were still there - even though he removed the portion of the seats that would be sat on.

The back seats that were taken out required a thorough vacuum across it multiple times, but by the end, the seats started to look pretty good.

The carpets were also cleaned the same way with the vacuum. The brake and accelerator pedals required a deep cleaning solution and scrub in order to get looking new again.

The dirt was caked on pretty good on the doors and required a strong all-purpose cleaner and steamer. He had to wear a mask for that portion of the cleaning. The center console was cleaned the same way the inside of the doors were - and also required him to wear a mask.

It was pretty startling to see how good the doors looked once he was done, though - they looked brand new.

He had to finish the decontamination process on the paint of the car, very meticulously hand scrubbing every inch after spraying the quick detailer as a quick lubricant. Once this was done, the paint was ready for a sealant to be sprayed on it and used.

By the end, the car looked brand new, inside and out!
