You won’t find power adjusted seats in LX, but
Yes, the seat adjustment is manual but the windows are power. Civic LX offers filtered air conditioning, illuminated steering wheel controls, a decent 160 watt AM/FM/CD stereo with 4 speakers and much more. NIce interior, decent ride
Civic’s ride and handling is surprisingly refined for an entry-level daily driver. For 2015 Civic’s seating is comfortable, head, elbow and leg room exceptional with road vibration and exterior noise transference to the cabin kept at a minimum. A 1.8 liter i-VTEC 4 cylinder engine producing 143 horsepower, 5 speed close ratio manual transmission with traction control, electronic assisted steering responce and brake assist are standard. CVT is available as an option. Surprisingly responsive through the drive range, Civic LX claims an EPA, MPG rating of 30 city /39 highway.

It's too bad Americans have mostly rejected hatchbacks. A car this size would be much more practical in hatchback form. I personally don't purchase 4-door sedans - they're, oh, so yesterday. :)

I agree. Believe me, many Honda Civic owners would prefer a hatchback option. However, Honda does offer a front wheel drive CR-V Hatchback and a Fit 5 door hatch with the soon to be released HR-V front or all-wheel drive crossover- hatchback scheduled for release in a month or two.
I have to disagree about
I have to disagree about Americans rejecting hatchbacks. This used to be true. Every major automaker except Honda and Chevrolet offers a c-segment hatchback. Honda will be offering a Civic hatchback again when the all-new 2016 (10th-gen) Civic goes on sale later this year. Chevrolet will be offering a Cruze hatchback when an all-new Cruze goes on sale next year. Focus sales are nearly split 50/50 hatchback/sedan. In fact, the best selling car in California in 2013 was a hatchback: Toyota Prius. Honda will sell a ton of Civic hatchbacks! As Ford CEO Mark Fields said, "The hatchback is back!"
Good info, but wouldn't count
Good info, but wouldn't count the Prius since it's a unique vehicle and is only available in a hatchback - same with the Volt. Maybe the Prius is responsible for folks forgetting the Pinto and Vega hatchbacks. Porsche is also doing a good educating job with the Panamera.
For me, the hatchback
For me, the hatchback configuration offers the greatest utility in a vehicle while preserving an aerodynamic body line, thus greater fuel economy. Glad to read they're comming back to Civic. Although that hasn't been substantiated on our end. Thanks for commenting.
