Honda HR-V crossover sales skyrocket in August with a 66% percent sales increase month over month recorded for Honda’s subcompact Fit platformed crossover. HR-V was a bright spot for a month that found Honda Accord sales tanking for the second month in a row, as the 10th generation Honda Civic grabed unprecedented compact sedan segment market shares.
As reported earlier by Torque News: With 2017 Honda Fit production transitioned back to Japan, Honda has increased dedicated production of the manufactured in Mexico Fit platformed coupe-like subcompact crossover. HR-V is the only subcompact Honda vehicle available in North America with a CR-V derivative all wheel drive option. You'd be hard pressed to beat the value of this package.
On our first drive, I found HR-V to be surprisingly roomy, easily converted into a near flat deck work and play utility vehicle, yet refined enough to run through a car wash and take out on the town.
