Yes, posh automakers like Bentley sometimes have to recall their vehicles for safety issues.
The British automaker is recalling 378 Bentayga SUVs built between March 1 and September 30, 2016. The issue deals with the assembly of these vehicles. Various instrument panel joints and seat mechanisms may have not been tighten down properly. If loose, vibrations from the vehicle can loosen them even further and become a major safety hazard.
Bentley is planning to start the recall this month and has already sent out notices to the affected owners. The fix involves technicans taking a look at the parts in question and tightening them down.
We can't help but wonder how this happened in the first place. Did someone misplace their tools or was something broken on the assembly line? We may never know.
