If you want an ultra posh Range Rover that will make everyone jealous, Land Rover's Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) division has the model for you.
Land Rover announced this week the 2016 Holland & Holland Range Rover which comes in at a jaw-dropping $245,495 (includes $995 destination charge). Why the high price? Let us explain. Holland & Holland is a British gun maker known for building world-class shotguns with high-quality materials. Land Rover's SVO division took various aspects of their guns and incorporated them into the vehicle.
The exterior is finished in Holland & Holland's signature green color. Inside, the model boasts brightwork with the Holland & Holland’s acanthus scroll design and the dash features diamond pattern found on their guns. The walnut wood veneers in this Range Rover come from the same source where Holland & Holland gets their veneers.
Other features in the Holland & Holland Range Rover include tan leather for the seats, Holland & Holland illuminated door sills, and a deployable and locking leather-trimmed gun case that can hold two guns.
"The whole SVO team is very proud of this car, a bespoke design, which perfectly meets the very particular needs of Holland & Holland customers. This shows the huge potential of SVO, which encapsulates both off- and on-road performance as well as luxury and craftsmanship," said John Edwards, Managing Director of Jaguar Land Rover Special Operations in a statement.
Only 30 Holland & Holland Range Rovers will be available for the North American marketplace. Sales are expected to begin this spring.
