An official decision as to whether or not the Bentley EXP 10 Speed 6 will go into production is still being worked on. But there is now talk as to the possible name for the production model.
Auto Express reports that Bentley trademarked two names back in 2014; Bentayga and Barnato. The former is used on the company's new SUV. As for the latter name, Auto Express believes this is the name for the production EXP 10 Speed 6.
Barnato holds some significant value at Bentley as it references Woolf Barnato, former chairman of the company and three-time Le Mans winner in 1928, 1929, and 1930. Barnato was known as one of the 'Bentley Boys' - folks who drove Bentley vehicles - and is one of the few people to win every race entered at Le Mans.
The motorsport background seems to make sense for this model as the EXP 10 Speed 6 is a two-seater. But there are rumors of Bentley working on a coupe version of Bentayga SUV which could get this name.
For now, we'll be keeping a close eye on this story.
