March 12th is an important date in Ferrari's history.

On this day back in 1947, Founder and CEO Enzo Ferrari drove the first model bearing his name on the roads in Maranello. Called the 125 S, it featured a 1.5L V12 engine that was designed by Gioacchino Colombo with some help from engineers Giuseppe Busso and Luigi Bazzi. Two months later, the 125 S would make its racing debut at Piacenza Circuit. It was leading the race before an issue with the fuel pump took it out. But nine days later, the 125 S would capture its first victory in the Rome Grand Prix by Franco Cortese.

To celebrate this momentous occasion, Ferrari has released a video reenacting that special day before transitioning to showing off a LaFerrari Aptera driving on those same roads.

Ferrari is planning to host anniversary celebrations in 60 countries with the LaFerrari Aptera taking center stage. These various celebrations will culminate in a special celebration in Maranello on September 9th and 10th.
