Ram knows its fan base so when it started producing its latest line of Chassis Cab trucks, they included some agriculture-specific features. Now, you can even order trucks to match your farm equipment.
Ram knows who most of their buyers are and more importantly, they listen to their suggestions. That is why they are debuting a new line of 2019 Chassis Cab trucks in a Harvest Edition, designed with farm families in mind. The Chassis Cabs join their Ram 1500, 2500 and 3500 Harvest Editions that debuted in 2017.
According to Ram, the 2018 Ram Chassis Cab Harvest Edition is an agricultural market-specific truck. It will even be available in two special colors designed to match your farm equipment. The colors are Case International Harvester Red and New Holland Blue. The trucks are also available in brilliant black and bright white. Sorry, no John Deere green.
Jim Morrison, the new head of the Ram brand, says in a statement, “Addressing a direct request from farmers, Ram is the only manufacturer to offer Chassis Cab commercial trucks in colors that match two of the most popular lines of farm equipment in the nation. The Ram Harvest Edition Chassis Cab delivers high capability and gives farming families a way to show their agricultural brand loyalty.”
Features to help Farmers
Ram also listened to farmers about what they need on their trucks. The Harvest Editions have large front tow hooks, a transfer-case skid plate, side steps, fog lamps and a rear back-up camera.
The trucks are also loaded with technology that will be helpful on the farm. The trucks have a large 8.4-inch touchscreen radio with navigation, 4G WiFi capability, and Sirius weather with up-to-the-minute mapping and forecasts that can be customized to any location in the country.

Hey, I was born and raised in Wisconsin and farming is a big deal! Farmers are incredibly brand loyal and they appreciate durability and quality.
Special Agricultural Certification Program
Ram has also started a program for dealerships to make sure they know exactly what farmers need and how to best serve the farming community. Ram now has a Ram Certified Agricultural Dealership (RCAD) program. RCAD is designed to educate dealers and their staffs. Representatives will have to complete a training curriculum to help them address the needs of the farming community. The dealers will have team members from service, parts and sales departments that will have to complete an agricultural literacy program. The dealers will also be educated in helping the customers take advantage of incentives and bonus offers targeted to help farmers.
Certified Ag Dealers will be able to offer a farm-specific package with discounts on Crop Copter Ag Drone Products, vouchers toward Agroliquid Crop Nutrition and a subscription to Agrible’s Grower Bundle.
There are currently 200 Ram Certified Agricultural Dealers in the nation.
